OK, if your goal is to show how young and captivating you look in a bikini, that's certainly one goal that can't be denied or forgotten. However, people with kids tend to be more focused on the family, shown in vacation photos capturing endless fun.
Advice: Do what you feel like when you take pictures on family vacations at California beaches, but step back and capture some moments without the forced poses and fake smiles. Pictured, for example, is a mom with several kids who are peddling a small surrey-style bicycle while mom is also on the phone talking to someone. The image allows for speculation about the conversation. The bike helmets, shorts, flip flops and even the phone may one day be out of vogue. At that point (if it ever happens) you can look back at the time capsule and remember how you let the good times roll.
