People: Moms
Unsung heroes of the beach, moms pack up the kids and haul them to sandy playground.
If not for moms many children wouldn't have the exposure and opportunities to become familiar with California's treasured beaches.
It takes work to haul the kids and all their stuff.
Look at the picture of these moms pulling their kids in wagons and vehicles on the sand. You can tell they are having to put some muscle into the task. It's just what moms do to make sure their kids live a good life. Another perspective could say that the women are going to the beach because they like and the kids have no say. While this also may be true, you have to appreciate all the details that women (and men) must take care of when traveling with kids to the beach, or anywhere else.
What's so special about this photo?
Not shown (cropped out of this picture) is the Pacific Ocean and other people on the beach. I've forgotten where I took the photo but believe it was Seal Beach, Calif. It was around 4 in the afternoon when many were leaving the beach on a nice summer day. When I watched the scene I noticed this incredible horizontal action. It reminded me of a desert with people trudging through the sand to their destination.
