Destinations: Balboa Island
Balboa Island beach is a narrow shelf of sand accessible most times of day. The tides cover this small rim of sand around the Island with water so you are best advised not to leave belongings sitting on the beach for extended periods.

Destination Balboa
A popular vacation which offers a slightly different experience and view from the Newport Beach vacation rentals facing the Pacific Ocean on the Peninsula is Balboa Island. Cottages offer guests a relaxed pace and calm waters, while the beaches are quite small. Still you will find enough room to park and umbrella and beach chair for sunbathing, kids' play and reading a book or snoozing, like most visitors do.
Picture Taking
- The icon visible from Balboa Island is Balboa Pavilion, located across the bay. This historic building include a bar with cocktails and a restaurant with beautiful views of the bay.
Dead Ends
If you notice, the picture shown was taken from a deadend street, which every street on the island tends to be. The sign shows a street sign, "S Bay Front" which signifies South Bay Front. There is a North Bay Front on the other side of the Island and a South Bay Front facing the Pacific Ocean. A paved walkway circles the Island carrying this street sign name.
